die zwei sonnenherde, die andreas wegner mitgebracht hat, sind normale gebrauchsgegenstände.

während der grill als exot zu betrachten ist, ist die kochkiste gerade auch in afrika im täglichen gebrauch. da gerade frauen dort oft bis zu 8 stunden damit zubringen, das holz zur zubereitung einer mahlzeit zusammenzutragen, schreckt auch die zuweilen exotische erscheinung nicht vom gebrauch ab.

andreas wegner verweist mit den herden auch auf problematiken der bedingungen und umstände von lebensmittelproduktion im privaten rahmen wie -in seiner arbeit sonst gerade auch- im großindustriellen umfang, auf deren ökonomien und strategische und humanitäre konsequenzen.
